3Cs cafe

The cafe is temporarily CLOSED to limit the spread of the Coronavirus
The 3Cs cafe opened on 6 May 2014 in St John’s Church, Gosbrook Road. It is a venture run by the Lower Caversham Community Partnership for the community. Thanks to grants from Reading Springboard, the Big Lottery Fund and Church House Caversham, St John’s has been suitably adapted, a cafĂ© counter built and a volunteer manager and staff trained. Equipment and fair trade coffee and tea are sourced from Reading’s own Kingdom Coffee. The cafe is run by volunteers and opens on Tuesdays between 9.30am and 2pm. We hope to extend the opening hours according to demand and are looking for more volunteers to join the team.

The cafe serves a range of freshly-ground coffees from espressos to cappuccinos, teas, hot chocolate, infusions, cakes, hot snacks and also offers a take away service.

The cafe has its own website and Twitter account @3cscafe.
